All of a sudden Musetti retires?
To be fair, Musetti was indeed better, but if we were to analyze Djokovic, Djokovic looked mostly out of sync and somewhat out of patience, it didn't feel our beloved Djokovic was there.
He would have surely lost, but overall it doesn't seem he's in bad form, I guess not playing 4th round made him more nervous and messed up with his routine or mind.
Having a couple days off in the middle of a slam is something I was never fan of. Short, easy matches yes, those are good, but full days off, I'm not so sure. And sometimes it's not even good to have exclusively easy matches before the latter stages, one stronger test often helps more than it does harm.
And I do think after 9-1 in h2h, it's difficult to play these matches that are mostly mental, and if you're not mentally sharp you're doomed and Djokovic was doomed today, even if he had composed himself, every set from then on would have been cca 50-50 so at best he'd have 0.5?0.5?0.5 = 0.125 so about 10-15% chance of coming through.
A huge break indeed.
In late second set, Djokovic was serving and at 30-15 he wins a point, Musetti chased dropshot to his forehand side and send it cross-court to Djokovic at the net on forehand (volley?) and ball landed out, 40-15, but Djokovic claimed he "touched" it, camera didn't show it, but he conceded the point, instead of 40-15, 30-30 and even though he won next to get point 40-30 he lost that game later.
I'm not sure if it was when serving to stay in the set, 3-5 or at 3-4, but something like that.

Good break but Novak was prepared to go 5 sets, he still had a
reasonable chance of winning imo.
It's going to be hard to win a set off Sinner.ÿ Novak doesn't move like
he used to and Sinner can expose that limitation in several ways.ÿ Still amazing effort reaching last 5 slam semis in a row at his age.ÿ De
Minaur and Rublev have about 17 slam Q/f, zero semis.
Carlos is almost replicating his USO open run, straight set wins and
only 1 dropped set in final v Sinner.ÿ Could win every set this time.
Sinner going for 3 in a row.ÿ Carlos wouldn't want Sinner to beat him to
a career slam, could happen if Carlos loses here.ÿ Barring injury I
think Carlos has got this.ÿ His best is better than Sinner's, and he is hugely motivated to win this.
