The death of Charlie Kirk, collateral damage of the 2nd, took a toll on
our members of PerSu, the local branch office of Trumpism. As if anybody
cares, let alone anybody outside Finland, the dumbest man on Earth,
Juhani Tynkkynen, a PerSu MEP, stepped out of his X cubicle, I mean
desk, to express his sympathies and admiration, and to say the kiddie
gloves are now off. Whatever that might mean.

All this is nonsense, you knew that alreddy. Nobody here cares a hoot
about Charlie Kirk, few have heard the name. Or whether he's a personal
hero of Sebastian. What is interesting, though, is the fact that
Sebastian is marrying the fortunes of the talent party to MAGA. Is this
wise? I seriously doubt that.

The background is:
• PerSu has been in a nosedive in the polls for a while. Ever since they became a junior partner in the coalition government. They have failed in office.
• PerSu has adopted the same wedge issue tactics as MAGA and the rest of
the global ultra-right. There is or has never been kulture wars in
Finland, PerSu has tried their best to import them. If you fail in
office, you gotta do something else. Like, wedging attention.
• Trump is a four letter word in Finland. So is "MAGA" among those that
have heard the term.
• Charlie Kirk, bless his soul, is a non-entity. You can't make a wedge
issue out of the murder of a zero. However much he might have been a
kindred spirit in stupidity to Sebastian.

But ... Charlie Kirk, the dead alt-facter, has said a couple of things
that might yet leave poor Sebastian in tearskies.

• Charlie Kirk, the dear heart, has said that gays should be stoned. Sebastian is gay. The Bible teaches this, Charlie says. Would he have
lied to Sebastian?
• Charlie Kirk was opposed to the membership of Finland, Sweden to NATO.
He thought Finland is a part of Russia. After Ukraine and all the noise
about the credibility of NATO, tell this to the PerSu voting Average
Joe. That we in PerSu are in cahoots with this guy? "If Trump lent a
bandaged ear to Charlie Kirk, what could this mean to poor Finland",
thinks Joe. "Media says a war with Russia is imminent. Any day now".
"Njet", says Joe. "Njet PerSu!"

And thar she blows. The vote. What was thought to be a cool wedge for
vote begging turns out to be a vote repellent.

Ouch!

Charlie Kirk is being used as a token, an excuse to take out more
grievances against the left.  It's backfiring a bit now that it's known
the killer came from a Trump-loving mormon family deeply rooted in gun culture.  AND the pop's a cop.
