Certificate Backlog at Amateur Radio Service Centre

Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) has advised R
adio Amateurs of Canada that the Amateur Radio Service Centre is currently
experiencing a backlog in the printing and mailing of Amateur Radio certi ficates.

The backlog affects newly certified Amateurs as well as those who have rec ently upgraded their qualifications. ISED is working toward a resolution a
nd expects to clear the backlog as soon as possible.

In the meantime, ISED?s electronic processing of new certificati
ons, qualification upgrades and call sign assignments continues to opera
te with its usual high level of efficiency. These services are not affecte
d by the delay in printing and mailing certificates.

n et l?envoi postal des certificats de radioamateur.

Le retard touche les nouveaux radioamateurs certifi‚s ainsi que ceux
et celles qui ont r‚cemment obtenu une qualification sup‚rieure
. ISDE travaille ? une solution et pr‚voit r‚sorber ce reta
rd dans les plus brefs d‚lais.

Entre-temps, le traitement ‚lectronique par ISDE des nouvelles cert
ifications, des requalifications et de l?attribution des indicat
ifs d?appel se poursuit avec son efficacit‚ habituelle. Ces s
ervices ne sont pas affect‚s par le retard dans l?impression
et l?envoi des certificats.
