It's a tool to open pop top cans instead of prying up the ring
with your fingernails. I have one and for _me_ I find it useless.
But on sites that sell it, it gets rave reviews.

The right shape? I have painfully ripped my
nails to the quick on pop / beer can tops so I
can relate to the idea but when all 10 of my nails
have become dangerously cracked I have found
that knives, forks, sporks, chisels, files,
screwdrivers, wrenches, spanners, and keys all
    have 'the right shape'.

If you are floating on a pool toy you can even
use another beer can but if you are down to the
last one, you should be able to use a toe-nail.

I clip my fingernails short. I don't drink soda, but I use a tool on

I'm generally standing right there next to the flatware drawer, my

I had a friend whose family ran a pop business. He used to open pop
bottles with his teeth. I cringed every time I saw him do it and I was
amazed that he never broke or even chipped a tooth.

I never did until recently. Bought a few packs of Jack Daniels
Lemonade. It is very difficult to get a finger under the tab. I have
to use a knife just to raise it even 1/16" to pop it.

Must be the can maker and how they press the tab in place. One you get
a finger under, no different than any other can.

    True. (See below)

Not once, and I'm damned near eighty.

Just once, when I was about half as
    experienced with pop-tops. Just that
once was enough to make it my last.

My nail was cracked because it was too
long and not been trimmed recently.

I ripped out a chunk, and exposed

It's an American toothpick, designed to remove large amounts of
    food.

Or an Oztard abortion hook - works on marsupials too.

Sorry, I'm not into races to the bottom.

Good, breeding is past you now.

Don't falsely correlate bsic joviality with drunkenness.

This thread has given a test for female, up to transgenderism, testing
for sports. I have never, ever had a problem opening a pop top. Not
once, and I'm damned near eighty. I've already popped five beers

I had no idea that popping tops were a problem for anyone. Thanks, rfc!
My wife just told me that she has a problem too! Who knew until now?
She's now looking to buy a pop topper on Amazon. I'm here. Use me!

Save your money. Look for a spoon of suitable dimensions and bend it in a "C" shape. It will give you a chance to use that clampy thing in your garage. It's called a "clamp." It might also give you a chance to use that heavy banging thing too. I forget what that's called.

Did you find it at the abortion clinic?

I have no recollection how I came to possess the object, but it
doesn't look like any tool one would use to perform an abortion.

Indeed, you should always get the right tool for the job.

But on sites that sell it, it gets rave reviews.

Looks pretty useless to me. I don't buy much that has pop top cans but seems like the handle end of a spoon or fork would accomplish the same thing.

a small spoon or butter knife works fine for me.

Indeed. I won't say it's perfectly harmless but mostly Alphabet/Google wants data
to enable them to more efficiently separate you from your money. There's nothing
    more American than that.
