Just an observation, but that is a big difference between youse and us.
We have been getting weather alerts about the extreme cold and a lot of
snow headed our way. They have been talking about the storm of a
lifetime. There is no rush, no hoarding, just normal shopping.
My biggest concern at this time is our concert tickets for Sunday and
wondering if we will be able to make it to the concert or if it will be
cancelled. It would be a different matter if I had bought the tickets
myself but this was a Christmas gift from our son.
A lot of snow? I guess that's because it's coming up diagonally.
We're expecting a mere 4 inches. The cold is expected to persist,
though. Monday, I'll be snowblowing in 14 F weather. Well, it
ought to be light and fluffy.
I've been hoping the cold would push the snow down into Ohio, but
it doesn't look as if I'll get my wish.

There are some decent solar generators that you could wire into
your breaker panel for key circuits.
Look into Anker:

In the future, there won't be much need for generators of any kind - maybe. Most
people will have a large power storage/supply parked in their garage i.e., the
family car. Some people will have 2 sources of power. If you're an American, who
knows how many big batteries will be parked in your place. The future looks bright
- if we don't all die, anyway. The advent of solid state batteries will make our
current battery technology seem primitive. That's a good thing.

And in a slightly more distant future, people will generate energy by
looking intently at a nano battery the size of a pea. That pea battery
will then be able to power an entire street for a year.

At 10:10 a.m., CST, it's 17øF (-8.33øC) here and it's steadily coming
down but light, very small flakes. It's been snowing now for two hours
and the ground in not quite yet covered. The chance of it turning to freezing rain in the afternoon before reverting to snow is a great possibility.

Fox News has turned into Fox Weather Channel for today. Nashville is
number one in power outages. There is some mention of Minneapolis.
What's going on there?
And stay safe!

What's going on in MN is that the thugs that are under the direction of
that rapist that you voted for are murdering American citizens.

My latest check-in shows 233,000 without power. I'm still here, but who knows what will happen overnight. A few times today I heard rumblings
and some crashes around me of fallen limbs.

The truckers wanted more range so Ford is sticking an on-board
generator to increase the range to 700 miles.
Hopefully, this product
will stick with the truck buyers.
My daughter rented a gas one on the
mainland - it's a wonderful, solid, comfortable, ride. It's the way
to go if you're going to be traveling around all day. We went here
but they was closed - rats!
