I picked up a few normal odds-and-ends on Friday afternoon, and the supermarket was a madhouse!ÿ I imagine the shelves are empty now, Snowmageddon 2026 is supposed to start in a couple of hours, and not
stop until late afternoon on Monday.

I hope everyone in the path of this massive winter storm stays warm &
safe and doesn't suffer a loss of electricity. Even this far south it's cold (34øF right now) but we are not expecting snow. I didn't go to the grocery store (well stocked pantry) but I'm sure there was likely a run
on stuff. People tend to get in a tizzy if anyone on the weather
channel mentions the word "snow" and South Carolina in the same sentence.

Looks like we'll make 4 inches here, which is not exciting at all.
The temperature tomorrow should hit double digits sometime between
10 and 11 am, so I'll wait at least that long before I get out the snowblower.
The unusual cold will persist for another week. Groundhog Day should
see a high of 22 (although that's quite a ways off in terms of weather forecasting).
