I hope everyone in the path of this massive winter storm stays warm &
safe and doesn't suffer a loss of electricity. Even this far south it's
cold (34øF right now) but we are not expecting snow. I didn't go to the grocery store (well stocked pantry) but I'm sure there was likely a run
on stuff. People tend to get in a tizzy if anyone on the weather
channel mentions the word "snow" and South Carolina in the same sentence.

Looks like we'll make 4 inches here, which is not exciting at all.
The temperature tomorrow should hit double digits sometime between
10 and 11 am, so I'll wait at least that long before I get out the
    snowblower.

The unusual cold will persist for another week. Groundhog Day should
see a high of 22 (although that's quite a ways off in terms of weather forecasting).

The high for Monday is expected to reach 15øF and the rest of the week
is not to rise above the 20's.

Through last Monday afternoon, we got about 13 inches of snow. We were
snowed in for a couple of days, but I finally hand dug *just* enough
street for a Geo Metro to get out and down the hill to the main road. I
dug a walking path to each of my older neighbor's doors, trash cans, and
mail boxes. Everyone else is on their own!
