    I watched:

    WE ARE THE 80'S

    WE ARE THE 80'S

    WE ARE THE 80'S

    WE ARE THE 80'S

    FRIDAY THE 13TH: THE SERIES:
"Bad Penny". While mourning the death of his father (in last season's
"The Prisoner"), Johnny catches wind of a series of murders with the
victims bearing the mark of a ram's head on their forehead. It turns
out that two crooked cops have recovered the Coin of Ziocles (from
"Tails I Live, Heads You Die"). In a shootout, one of them is killed
along with a drug dealer they were in cahoots with. The other, live cop figures out the coin can resurrect the dead, and uses it to resurrect
his partner as a semi-zombie. They then use the Coin to kill a
prostitute, but Johnny grabs the coin from them...and uses it to
resurrect his father. Meanwhile, Micki is in a near-useless state,
since she herself was briefly dead, killed by the Coin earlier. She
doesn't want to go through that again. Disgusted with Johnny's selfish
use of the coin, Jack kicks him out, but Johnny manages to redeem
himself after the cops get the coin back and try to resurrect the drug
dealer to find out where their money is. Johnny saves Micki,

    FRIDAY THE 13TH: THE SERIES:
"Hate on Your Dial". Johnny inadvertently screws up when he sells a box
of junk to a retarded neighbor without checking the Manifest. A cursed
antique car radio is among the items sold. The retarded man's brother,
a car repairman and a racist, discovers that the radio can be used to
travel back in time when smeared with a murdered victim's blood. He
plans to travel back to the 50's in the South and prevent his father
from being arrested and killed on murder charges, by killing the black
lawyer his father tried to kill. Johnny and Jack, holding on to the car
during the racist's second trip, travel back in time with him and
manage to stop him. Ultimately, the racist ends up being burned at the
stake by his father and other KKK members, who mistakenly think he is
working with the black civil rights lawyer he was trying to kill. I
rolled my eyes at the "trigger warnings" and the bleeped out slurs, but
holy crap, this ep really was brutal!

    CHARLIE'S ANGELS:
"Angels on Wheels". Playmate centerfolds are getting killed (they use
felines rather than bunnies in a desparate attempt at avoiding a
lawsuit from Hef). Jill poses as a centerfold. Kelly is a singer at the
key club. I was confused because this was not the only time they drew
    from this well.

    HART TO HART:
"Color Jennifer Dead". The man who was painting Jennifer's portrait
dies, supposedly while driving drunk, but the Harts don't believe the
    official explanation.

    FANTASY ISLAND:
? "Bowling". amateur bowler Lou Fielding fulfills his dream of bowling
    with the world's best bowlers!

? "Command Performance". a retired circus owner gathers her old acts
together for a 25 year reunion, aware that one of them wants her dead.

    FAMILY GUY
"Play Time". In this three act parody, the Griffins spoof the stage by
putting up ?To Kill A Mockingbird,? ?The Odd Couple,? and ?Hamlet.?

    FAMILY GUY
"Phony Montana". After going on a date with a Cuban-American woman
named Carmen, Brian inexplicably develops a Cuban accent.

I checked out the latest season of Family Guy. I said I was over this
show, but I checked it out anyway.

They've backed off on some of the stuff which was putting everyone off
-- the abuse of Meg, the OTT violence, Stewie constantly being ubergay
while still somehow being straight. More surprisingly, they've backed
off of the cutaways. I didn't notice a single one in s24e01, "The Edible Arrangement."

    It's their 450th episode, and it's a semi-special in which Stewie and
Lois get stoned together, realize they can now communicate, and resolve
their differences and bond. Unfortunately, neither of them remembers the experience the next day, and so the reset button is pressed.

I kept watching these throughout the evening, although I wasn't paying
close attention. I'll probably go on to watch the other two coming to
Hulu today. The show's no longer funny, but it's goofy in a relaxingly familiar way.

I have a backlog of 8 episodes. I'll get around to them sooner or
later. That reminds me, I recently started to watch "Ted" but only made
it through the first episode of the new season.

On Sunday I continued to make my way through Friday The 13th movies and
    Elm Street movies.

I'll just mention the new 4K of Elm Street 5 is a never before released
uncut version of the movie. The movie itself is still one of the worst
in the franchise. But it looks and sounds great. And I was overjoyed
to finally get to see that deleted footage reincorporated into the movie.

And Elm Street 6 (Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare) was released
originally in 2D, with the last 20 or so minutes in 3D using the old red
and blue anaglyph glasses. Because 4K can't do modern 3D this was also released with using the red and blue anaglyph glasses. Getting to the
point, the 3D looked like hot garbage! It alternated between being
blurry and slightly less blurry all with a sometimes red, and sometimes
blue tint. I saw this movie in the theater during the original release,
and I remember the monsters flying out of the screen in 3D. I think
that might have been the first 3D effect I ever saw. When the movie was released on DVD it was in 3D with the anaglyph glasses, and I remember
the monsters coming out of my TV. But for this release it's all depth
and none of the out of the screen effects work.

I hope some day we can get a modern 3D conversation of the whole movie
or at least the parts that were originally filmed in 3D. But this was
just awful and *shame* on them for releasing it that way!
