Secretary of War Pete Hegseth didn?t just drop bombs on the IRGC today;
he nuked the mainstream media?s "fake news" narratives that have been shielding a crumbling Iranian regime.
Speaking from the Department of War, less than two weeks into a
conflict that has redefined modern warfare, Hegseth delivered a "bottom
line up front" that should send shivers down the spines of the mullahs
--and some editors at CNN. The reality on the ground? The Iranian
military is functionally extinct.

Then how are the keeping the Strait of Hormuz closed? No one can explain this to me.

By mining it? That'd discourage any seafaring but minesweepers.

Right and we have mine sweepers, so why not just clear it? Then blow the tar out of anyone who tries to put more mines out there. I mean, the very fact that it's a strait is what gave Iran the power to control it, but that same geographical feature also works to their detriment when a significantly more powerful force challenges them. We can clear the entire strait, both the water
and the surrounding land, and hold it against unauthorized maritime activity relatively easily because of the fact that it's such a narrow chokepoint.
