A long-running food and travel series is preparing for a major
change after several seasons on a major streaming platform. The
show's creator confirmed that upcoming episodes will debut on a
new platform as part of a distribution deal. He also revealed
the release window for the next season.

Somebody Feed Phil moves to YouTube from Netflix after 8 seasons
Somebody Feed Phil will move from Netflix to YouTube after eight
seasons on the streaming service. New episodes of the culinary
travel series hosted by Phil Rosenthal will premiere on the Phil
Rosenthal World YouTube channel.

The move is part of a broader agreement with Banijay Americas
and Banijay Rights. Earlier seasons will remain available to
stream on Netflix.

New installments will debut online soon. The partnership involves
Rosenthal, his production company Lucky Bastards, and Banijay.
The companies plan to expand Rosenthal's unscripted storytelling
brand across YouTube and other digital platforms.

Rosenthal said, "One of the things I always loved about Everybody
Loves Raymond was that it was free to watch everywhere. We are
thrilled to announce that Somebody Feed Phil will move to YouTube,
where our message of family, friendship, food, travel, and laughs
can reach the most people" (via The Hollywood Reporter).

Banijay Americas CEO Ben Samek stated, "Phil Rosenthal is one of

Somebody Feed Phil Season 9 reveals release date window
Season 9 of Somebody Feed Phil is expected to release in 2027, when
the series begins debuting new episodes on YouTube instead of
Netflix. The upcoming season will launch through the Phil Rosenthal
World YouTube channel. Banijay Rights CEO Cathy Payne said the deal
reflects the company's strategy to expand its YouTube, FAST, and
AVOD activity.

The series follows Rosenthal as he travels internationally to
sample cuisine and meet local communities. The show first debuted
on Netflix in 2018.
