    Did California give kids 12 and over this "medical adult" status so that
    they could get "gender-confirming" care - and abortions - without
    obstacles? That would be consistent with the kinds of things the
    activists typically demand.

    Of course. That's exactly why they did it. Too many parents were interfering with schools and others transing kids, so they passed a law to cut parents out of their kids' medical care decisions.

    interfering with schools and others transing kids, so they passed a law
    to cut parents out of their kids' medical care decisions.

    This is absolutely brilliant. If the parent is actively denied
    responsibility, great! The kid has to obtain his own health insurance. California must repeal compulsory education laws, a huge savings in
    public education. Also, repeal child labor laws.

    The kid needs to work full time.

    Let the kids vote. There's no way they could vote in a worse state
    legislature.
