?The Congressional Budget Office estimates a notional system consistent
with the administration's missile defense goals could cost about $1.2 trillion over 20 years?
"A Pentagon official in the Golden Dome program office, who asked to be identified that way, said the system "protects all Americans to include
Guam, Alaska and Hawaii," and is meant to defend all of America, "not
part of America.""
Get on with it!

Heh. Given recent events in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan, I rather doubt this. It?ll just cost too much to defend Sioux Falls. Or Duluth. Major cities and major military installations will be defended; Houston, Dallas/Ft Worth,
maybe Austin. El Paso won?t.
Look at where the old Nike-Zeus and Nike-Hercules sites were, and where Spartan/Sprint was. That would give pointers to what?s going to be
defended. And recall that Spartan/Sprint were nukes, and Hercules was nuke-capable; ballistic missiles inbound to the US from Eurasia are going to be going over the Arctic, which means flying over Canada. Back in the 1960s Canada even had nuke-capable fighters (CF-101 Voodoos, with Genie nuke rockets) to intercept inbound Sov bombers, but there was still lots of noise when it was revealed that Spartan and Sprint would be detonating nukes above Canada. Thanks to the Orange One, Canada?s a whole lot less friendly now; I suspect that if anti-missiles, nuke or no, were deployed in the northern tier of states, Canada would pull the plug on the electric supply to the US and most of New England, New York, Pennsylvania, and Ohio would get really dark and really cold.
