Hi Denizens,
"Undead and Unwed" by Sam Tshida
Well when I get to the SF Public Library I always check the
Romance section of new fiction looking for a new Lynsay Sands.
I did not find one this time but the title of Undead and Unwed
caught my eye.
These are Ann Rice sorts of Vampires. Tiffianie Ruda is 300
years dead, but hates to hurt people and does not want anyone
to die to satisfy her need for blood but she works too hard and
and her friend with blood benefits is sucked to near death but
Tiffany (bought identity) gives her the Dark Gift. Then she gets
a letter telling her that Tiffany has inherited an run-down inn in
Vermont. She has to be careful of exposure to sunlight but using
various devices she can handle very little sunlight. Well she has
a boy friend who turned her in her youth and he is of course a
Prince named Vlad who loves her dearly. He sends her a used
hearse and a coffin for Heaven which is the name of the girl
friend whose blood she took and off to Vermont where she
has a very interesting time especially after she is joined by
Vlad and makes friends among the living.
Published by Quirk in soft cover, about 350 pages
at $17.99 US/$23.99 Canadia. Tshida is pronounced Cheetah.
The author is said to live in Minnesota and writes
Rom Coms and Mysteries to survive the Winters as
well as being the founder of SMUT University.
