    November 25, 2026 would have been Poul Anderson's 100th birthday.
    As there is no guarantee any of us will see November 25, 2026, I'll
    borrow an idea from Tom Lehrer's That Was the Year That Was and start
    writing something appropriately celebratory now.

    This is, of course, true in general of any future date.

    However, I am not expecting Denmark to engage in thermonuclear war with
    the United States even if Trump does the unthinkable. Of course, Russia or China might seize the opportunity that the breakup of NATO would bring, so
    I suppose we do have reason for concern...

    I just saw a YouTube video, recently posted, of a "news broadcast" that
    Canada had closed its border with the U.S., and cut off electricity to it. However, the order was given by Canada's Prime Minister _Trudeau_. So the video was obviously faked.

    Youtube has a huge amount of fake videos on Canada-US relations. I've filtered out at least a dozen channels.

    There was also a number of channels producing AI commentary allegedly by
    well known figures. They all spoke the same way, with the same rhythms,
    and made similar points over and over and over. They seem to have been
    taken down.
