    Just who does IBDM let vote? This is a middling one. For me, it's a tossup >> between The Empath and the Halloween ep.

    Catching up on all my favorite NG's and replying. This one is a heavy question. I will spend some leisure time over the next few days going
    over the episodes list, watching the ones I suspect qualify, and will
    reply. I am not reading the other replies to prevent the influence of
    other opinions.

    I loved this episode as a child. A local broadcast station has star trek
    every night, and it was playing one night some months ago. It started
    okay, but then the it turned dumb really fast. The acting wasn't too
    bad, tho. They did what they could for a budget saving episode.

    It is also obvious that many of the writers of that era served during
    the big war. Many stories are influenced by it.

    I always thought 'the big war' referred to the First World War.
