The thing about NY people (the dumb 56%) is that they think they're
cool, and that by doing what the media subliminally tells them to do elevates them and sets them apart from the "dummies" like me (43%.)

They'll vote for who the media tells them to vote for; there's no
flipping them. They are a different animal from (for example) the former leftists in Michigan who woke up in 2024. These NY people (43%) are just dumb as sh!t and nothing can be done about that unless we try
    electroshock therapy.

Tonight is the eve of my wife and I's anniversary... She's in the DR and will be partying like it's 1999. I'll keep things short so as not to exhaust myself.

I know that you are upstate and not living in the city. And I'm not from there and cannot speak fully on this, but will try anyways.

I think this Mamdani election was/is a pivotal point. Staten Island is talking about leaving the city... GBG.

NY might just need a few years of the Mamdani Shit Show to wake up a little.

More companies may have to leave taking their tax base with them... their billionaires and and employees... BTW, Budweiser is leaving California and some Cheese factory, the Cheese factory that is leaving is responsible for making 85% of the mozzarella cheese for the US.

There will be a point where California, Illinois and NY will have lost whatever tax base it had to even run the states, now gone.

I was watching the news and they said they need at least 10K more police for NYC... there maybe an additional 4K retiring in 26...

The over weight blue haired freaks may never lear ... sorry that was the Somali spelling for Learn....

Chicago is looking at doubling the property taxes for the residence and Florida is on the cusp of passing no property taxes for its residence.

    People are catching on.

I think 2 years of Mamdani's policies implemented and you'll have new Republican Senators and hopefully y'all can pull out of it.

Elisa Stefanik is good looking too. I was hoping that we were going to have a beauty contest next year, but it ain't happening. Bruce Blakeman
is our man. I'm doing the nightly prayers for him just like I did for Trump all last year. Bruce is cool, I just hope he knows how to kick ass.

Lets hope Bruce gets in and restrains Mamdani

I can guarantee than me and my nephew will vote together (against Kathy Hochul.) I'll try to drag some more people to the polls too, and I'll
try to convince other people to drag people too. I can hardly even
imagine what it would be like to save my state. I'm already so blessed
    by Trump saving our country.

And that's all you can do. I was talking to the woman I help get her Green Card... She's in Maryland... Her Step-Son is on my FB and he's a Trump supporter and lives in Baltimore, he's like 15.

He wears a MAGA hat everywhere... everywhere... To school, to the mall... everywhere... Tressa said that people come up and ask to take pictures of him and with him.

So, if you buy into the narrative you'll think we are screwed... If you actually pay attention to what they are doing... and you start to realize that we are not alone.

NY might just need a few years of the Mamdani Shit Show to wake up a little.

I don't think that will do any good.

NYC (and California) are models for what happens when the majority of the population is useless and wants
    only hand outs.

For NYC, I believe that the Great Replacement Project has some to fruition. They imported illegals and let them vote.
They went lax on crime to get people to allow them to have more power to fix the crime problem that they created.
Then the productive people closed up shop and left.

The city is now majority leeches and useless people, so there's no legal way to change direction.

What's going to happen now is that Mamdani will have his hand out to the state and federal gov't's to give him money to prop up his socialist programs ("Socialism only works until you run out of other people's money."). But that won't work. IHMO: By the end of Trump's term, NYC will have completely collapsed.

More companies may have to leave taking their tax base with them...

    More companies **WILL** leave...

And that's in addition to the companies who already have dropped their leases because it's cheaper to have their people work from home. And the companies who have already left.

There will be a point where California, Illinois and NY will have lost whatever tax base it had to even run the states, now gone.

They've aleady lost it. They are so deep in debt right now it's amazing. And the Fed flow of money is stopping.

I was watching the news and they said they need at least 10K more
police for NYC... there maybe an additional 4K retiring in 26...

Let's just build a wall around NYC and turn it into a prison. Maybe we can send Kurt Russell in sometime.

The over weight blue haired freaks may never learn

They **CAN'T** learn. That's the problem with them. But they have probably gotten 16 COVID jabs. So they will probably die soon.

Chicago is looking at doubling the property taxes for the residence and Florida is on the cusp of passing no property taxes for its residence.

Standard Leftist play: When their policies fail, double down on the failed policies.

It's like they never learned basic math (2*0 = 0) or economics (raise prices and people will buy less of it).

    People are catching on.

They are realizing that they can't change things in the gov't because of the voter fraud. So they are acting on what they CAN change.

I think 2 years of Mamdani's policies implemented and you'll have new Republican Senators and hopefully y'all can pull out of it.

Nope. Won't happen. There's simply not enough people who will vote for them.

If you have a population that's 75% "gimme, gimme, gimme", they aren't going to vote for a Republican.

That's why I term them "elitists". They want to believe that they are

That's 100% correct. I have an old friend who is guilty of this too: he's from upstate, but he has a NYC phone number because he thinks that's cool. Then he goes around to other states telling people "I'm from New York." He's insane and the thing he's trying to be is not a good thing at all.

are just dumb as sh!t and nothing can be done about that unless we tr electroshock therapy.

It won't matter. The Democrat Voter Fraud Machine is still alive and well.

Yes, but I'll still try my best. I have faith that Trump will try his best to help with this too. It hurts a little when the state you're from is against everything that's right.

Either way, it's how we strive to be better people.

This is why the Left is so toxic. They can't accept that they made a mistake. They have no self-awareness, so they can't see that they made a mistake.

But like all scams, they get compacent and lazy and then are easily exposed.

Do you remember the Great Train Robbery in the UK back in the 1960's (they did a movie on it). Perfect crime. They stole gold, which is easily transformable. No clues left any trails. They actually ran a gold smelting plant - which was perfect for laundering the stolen gold.

What caught them was that they got lazy and while they did good "security" at first bringing their laundered money to the bank, they slipped up to the point where the bank got suspicious and alerted the authories.

Why don't we stop with the "left vs. right" narritive?

It is the battle of the sexes created by the toxic men hating femenists, which is a naritive started by the eugenics and nihilist movements. If you destroy the family you reduce the population by default. We now have a group of people who hate men, and the men are tired of being hated but still being used as ATMs.

On the political front, we have very little moderateism you are either on the right blaming all the problems on the left.. Or you are on the left, blaming all the problems ont he right. At the top, the last 5 administrations (Bush Jr, Obama, Trump I, Biden, Trump II.). Which have been far right, far left, far right, futher left, further right. It now become a huge pendulum whos momentum is taking more and more unity and creating more and more division each swing. The only people bennifiting from this are the rich elite who are raking in obscene record profits while we fight amongst ourself.

Man, until today, I've done a pretty good job of steering clear of this echo for a while... *lurk lurk lurk*

Because the media won't let us. And the political machine won't let the media stop pushing it.

And it's a damn shame, because behind all the "bleeding hearts" and under all the "red caps" are typically some decent people who would otherwise be fully capable of sitting down and having a salient conversation about how to solve problems and make the world better.

Unfortunately, emotions are more reliable than reason.

That pendulum is something I've been watching over the past decade or so as well. Rather than finding some sort of equilibrium, it's more like a resonant driving force on both sides, increasing the amplitude with each swing. It's pretty gross.

I personally think you can blame the AWS NextGen Stats you see during NFL games. Well, okay, not that specifically, but we've figured out what we can feed the teeming masses that will get them off the "moderate fence" and get them to align with a side.

In the days of old, we were simply mild-mannered swing voters or independents. Now? We're like friggin' Bitcoin. There's an algorithm or a formula or a plan to get us locked into a certain worldview. The downer is, it's been working.

The whole landscape is just so incredibly vitriolic and destructive.

I miss the days of having meaningful (even heated) -- yet RESPECTFUL -- discourse with people of differing opinions. It brought out the better in me, for sure. Being secure enough with yourself to say, "Hey, that's a good point. I need to reconsider my position..." That appears to be a lost art. It's all ad hominems, straw men, cherry picking, red herrings, and -- bringing it back to your original point...

*Laugh* What makes you think that a national school board would be MORE responsive to parents?

The purpose of keeping school control local was so that the schools would be more responsive to parents.

In Michigan, schools used to be funded through millages. These were taxes that voters could approve or not. Schools had to stay on the parent's good side because if they pissed them off, they would vote down the millages and the schools had less money.

Then the Lefties changed things and made the schools funded by the State. Now the schools just thumb their noses at the parents when they complain.

A national version of this would only be far worse. At least now, we can vote them out easily.

    I know what you mean.

So a local area built a brand new school building, then used it for, maybe, 2 years. Then they decided that there weren't enough kids and closed the school, consolidating all the kids in an older school in a "central" area.

The new school building was sold and turned into apartments (which is weird). But later it was found that the building was sold for pennies on the dollar to a school board member who then flipped it to another company for a very large profit to make the apartments.

It's like they don't understand the term "conflict of interest" here.

At first, the actions of the school board - and the member involved - was strange. But then I realized that because of the dropping birth rates, schools have excess real estate. And the people on school boards seem to be closet crooks.

The concept is good. But it assumes that the people who run for it want to do what's best for the school system.

Instead, the people who run for it are larval politicians and scam artists.

    We can vote for
board members, but then we have no say in what they do once elected.

That's because many areas removed the consequences from their decisions.

Like I said, here in Michigan, parents could vote down millages that the schools depended on for funding. So the boards had to do what's right. But then the Elitists took that away and the school boards no longer cared what the parents wanted.

A lot of this would be cleared up with School Choice and let the tax money follow the student to ANY school.

And as soon as they link up with the other elitists on the board,

Here in Michigan, we have a similar law. But every time it's invoked (usually by a conservative trying to clean up a liberal financial mess), the Left loses their mind and starts screaming about "The End of Democracy!"

That's how it should always be done. There have been mountains leveled and highways built in less than 2 years. The 2 year crap gives them endless opportunities "Well, the contactors have run into a problem.. it's gonna cost more money.. and it's gonna takes some more time.."

That doesn't work in today's world. There are snakes telling people to
eat the apple everywhere you go.

That's the way it's ALWAYS been. That's why the Founding Fathers tried to create a gov't structure that was distributed and qould require cooperation between foes to get things done.

Then the Left attacked culture itself and turned those foes into co-criminals.

Like the rest of the gov't, we need laws to make it unpleasant to cheat.

Ex: Conflict of Interest should be cause for immediate removal from the board and an audit of all transactions. And if any problem is found, the board member needs to be fined double what the problem found was and is barred from any gov't position in the U.S.

We need the state legislature to do that. I'll ask the next POS
Democrat who gets elected in my district to get on it.

Ha! Ya, you know that no Democrat will try to dismantle the system that they put in to place.

That's how it should always be done. There have been mountains leveled

it's gonna cost more money.. and it's gonna takes some more time.."

Exactly. More like they get 1 year in and run out of money. So do you just throw the old money away and go with someone else, and delay the project by a year, or do you give them more money to finish the job?

... I'd love to, but the President said he might drop in.

But bottom, top, middle, sides, it makes no difference. Once the Reality-Challenged get decision making power, it always goes bad.

Absolutely. Right now, the big thing (again) is the removal of certain books from school libraries that may tell a story of our past that doesn't fit their backward liberal beliefs. One is the Canadian Encyclobedia of history, and other nasty books such as Lord of the Flys.

    It just doesn't end.

It should be this way for all elected officials, but in most cases we end up just waiting for the criminal's term to end, then maybe vote them out.

    Right out of Orwell's "1984".

Who would have thought that the Elitists would use it as a manual?

Isn't it interesting that both sides are blaming each other for the removal of literature? Even more so that "1984" is referenced as the playbook.

That's because the idea of "both sides" is a diversion.

This has never been a "Republican vs. Democrat" or "Left vs. Right" or even a "Capitalism vs. Communism" battle.

The "sides" have always been "Elitists who think that they should be our rulers" and everyone else. The Elitists simply infilrate whatever group has more power at the time.
