With the sticker fixed, Walker thought the problem would get
sorted quickly and Auckland Transport would revoke the fine.
However, he couldn’t get any sort of response from them..
“I messaged Auckland Transport to get the fine back, like $200 is
a lot of money. They haven't said anything about it and it's been
three weeks now,” he said.
But after Stuff contacted Auckland Transport on Walker’s behalf,
officials admitted their mistake and promised the fine would be
scrapped once Walker got in touch ...

Walker was delighted when he heard the fine would be cancelled –
though disappointed it took media pressure to sort it.
If you didn’t have the media, who you’re gonna call?
