    Boundary Dam, Canada
    Have you heard of it?

    https://www.saskpower.com/our-power-future/infrastructure-projects/carbon-capture-and-storage/boundary-dam-carbon-capture-project

This was built in 2014 to upgrade what coal power plant could be. CSS,
carbon capture and storage. It has taken 90% of the CO2 out for long
term storage along with many of the other undesirable emissions.
The Chinese have pushed this up to 99% along, I suspect with some encouragement from Boundary Creek, and its success.

So here we are, leaving aside the arguement about what causes the rising
temp and will it matter, here is a case of proven technology which was developed without alot of fan fare. A protoype was built and it now is has stormed onto the playing field.

Carbon capture is a hoax. You are reading Canadian greenie
    propaganda.

Even if it isn't a hoax, when whatever "storage" method used gets
damaged, all that "stored" carbon is released again in one big pile -
whether that's a human-made building that collapses in an earthquake,
or a forest that burns down in a fire, or whatever. At best it would
    only be a temporary "solution".

To get rid of it, you'd have to fire the stored carbon into space, and
God knows what problems that would cause elsewhere.
