If there is one party in the NZ Parliament which has friends among the pro-Israel lobby, it has to be ACT. Now they want to discourage MPs
from using the term ?genocide? when referring to Israel?s actions in
Gaza during Parliamentary debates <
https://www.stuff.co.nz/politics/360847027/act-mp-asks-parliament-limit-use-genocide-when-describing-gaza-war>.
This party prides itself on being pro-?freedom of speech?, remember.
Yet they must have difficulty understanding the very text of the UN
Genocide Convention, if they cannot see the connection between that
and Israel?s actions, as pointed out by any number of independent
groups who can claim to be qualified to judge.
