I have some operational questions but I expect you'd rather they
were asked in your GitHub discussions for visibility?

Hope you have your agent ready to discuss on your behalf: "This
project has an AI-only contribution policy: we accept AI-generated
contributions only. Hand-written human code, issues, bug-fixes,
and code comments are respectfully declined."

I don't think my questions fit into any of those categories, but in
general I feel that people can run their projects however they want
and I can either respect their wishes or move along.
I would tend to agree, though with the additional detail that I can
criticize their choices in doing so.
With that said: how do you propose to ask questions on GitHub without
doing any of those things? As far as I'm aware, the primary and possibly
the only way to initiate communication with a maintainer via a GitHub repository is by opening an issue - and that contribution policy, as
quoted (I haven't reviewed it again since the previous thread about
this), states that handwritten issues will not be accepted; only
    AI-generated ones are welcome.
The apparent titular maintainer's statements here on this mailing list
do appear to indicate that that is not what the policy is *meant* to
mean - but it is what the policy, as quoted, *says*. (And the clearest
and most recent such statement also exempts "bug reports, feature
requests, and discussion", even though bug reports and feature requests
would *clearly* be filed as issues - which means that statement is in
conflict with the statement in that policy document.)

As I recall, from when I opened an issue for this, the policy stated
that they're fine using their own tokens. So all I did was prefix my
minimal issue report with "please create a github-style issue report
from the following" or something like that.

Unfortunately my apt-cacher-ultra PC quit and I haven't gotten around to replacing it yet.
