For years I have been able from a CD-R disk containing a 'Netinstall'
various versions of Debian. I usually used the 'Install' option provided;
and in due course I was successful. Unfortunately since at least the beginning of February such is no longer the case.
Now 'Install' -- and for that matter all the other options -- opens with a full screen containing 45 horizontal lines 1 mm thick, 1 cm apart. Between each line there are various small illegible symbols. Pressing the up and
down keys of the screen will move these lines, replacing others either up
or down.
I would certainly like to reopen my computer as soon as possible and would appreciate advice as how to do so.
By the way the installer I am currently using is '12.7.0' "Bookworm" '64 NetInstal', which used to work but does not now.
