What do you all think of the FCC thinking of allowing cell phone jammers in prisons?
I can see WHY they will want to do this, as besides drugs and alchohol mobile phones are one of the most sought after commodities in a correctional factility.
However, unless the jammers are VERY VERY frequency specific, is there a risk of affection other systems that rely on RF? Telemetry, command and control, and communications.
Will this be the end of it? Will other services want and be granted the abillity to jam cell phones? Every once in awhile a church, school, or other venue either does it without researching the law or clandestinly.
