Title: Brink's Nutty Oatmeal Chocolate Chippers

3/4 c Butter
3/4 c Brown sugar; firm pack
3/4 c Sugar
2 lg Eggs
2 ts Vanilla extract
1 c Whole wheat flour
1/4 c Wheat germ
1 ts Baking soda
1/2 ts Salt
2 c Quick-cooking rolled oats;
- uncooked
2/3 c Semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/3 c Fine chopped walnuts
1/3 c Fine chopped pecans
Set oven @ 350?F/175?C.
In large bowl, beat butter, and both sugars on medium
speed of electric mixer until well blended.
Beat in eggs, one at a time, beating well after each
addition.
Beat in vanilla.
Add combined flour, wheat germ, baking soda and salt;
beat well.
Stir in oats, chocolate chips and nuts; mix well.
Drop dough by level measuring tablespoonfuls 2" apart
onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes, until bottoms are golden brown.
Cool 1 minute on cookie sheets; transfer to wire racks.
Cool completely.
Store tightly covered.
Makes 5 dozen
