I upgraded to Tahoe when I was eventually able to free up the necessary bandwidth.
Most of my previous Appearance settings carried over from Sequoia, so I
was not subjected to the new glassy eye candy. But I must take issue with
many of the "rounded" interface elements, which are, at the very least. distracting.
Wide buttons, tabs and search boxes are too similar looking. I have enough experience with MacOS to know which is which, but the effect gets to be
pretty annoying. Also, rows of round buttons, such as in Safari pinned
tabs, look just plain stupid.
I generally don't take issue with rounded window corners, but the radii of these is the same as the elements I mentioned above, and would look
better if cut in half.
Aside from circle-crazy interface elements, I have been looking tor a way
to lighten the Dock's background color. I have Reduce Transparency and
Increase Contrast enabled, and I have found no way to make the Dock's background color a lighter gray.
