At this point, we really do not need to ask IF he behaves in this manner.

    We all know he does.

So I'm asking why so that we can all be better educated.

    Because

If you actually read the posts, you'd know why since I'm highly organized.

I have a rather obvious and very strong goal on the Apple newsgroups.
    a. Educate the posters on this newsgroup
    b. Learn more about how Apple products work
    c. Help others answer questions they may ask

If you read the posts you decry, you'd have already seen the explanation:

Posted here to keep all the technical answers together in one thread.
That way, this serves as a reference vehicle for how iOS actually works.

You're not interested in educating anyone.

    b. Learn more about how Apple products work

You're even less interested in learning.

How does this even refer to "technical answers", Arlen?

    None of the above.

Apple does not need my "support". I am not outraged.

I am merely pointing out the logical flaws in Arlen's posts. If he started a topic of "Why does Windows 11 nag me multiple times a day to login" and then link to random Microsoft web pages that state NOTHING about logging in, my reply would be the same:

"I have multiple Windows 11 laptops/tablets. NONE of them EVER ask me to login other than the one time I login at boot up. And AGAIN, your links do not
    backup your claim".

Does that mean I am "supporting" Microsoft?

You have to establish that something is actually happening BEFORE you can ask WHY it is happening. Arlen never does that. He just states his opinion as
fact, has nothing to back it up with and then wonders why no one agrees with the question of WHY it is happening.

My guess is Arlen's iOS devices constantly nag him to login because he
refuses do so. You have logged in to your Apple account so it doesn't
nag you unless you're downloading from the Apple Store or messing with
security settings. The same goes with Microsoft Windows 11.

Remember that Arlen's #1 priority with his devices is privacy so he will
bend over backwards to avoid logging in or enabling location services.
Those alone will require verification of identity numerous times.

    Hi badgolferman,

    Thanks for understand my motives.
You understand me well, perhaps because you're not blinded by ideology.

I don't use any operating system only the way the OEM wants me to.
I strive to make any ecosystem bend to my will, my needs, my goals.

One of those goals is privacy.

If I simply added the passwd (even though I never logged out), iOS would certainly stop nagging me for a while. Nags would pop up later of course.

    Because that's how iOS works.

Note that iOS does not work like any other operating system (not even
macOS), but that's a detail that isn't obvious until we understand how iOS truly works with respect to myriad intertwined tokens which expire and
renew on a poorly documented (but easily tested) timed sequence.

You have logged in to your Apple account so it doesn't
nag you unless you're downloading from the Apple Store or messing with security settings.

Yup. And it's even more complicated than that. It turns out that some of
the tokens appear to be incestuous, by which I mean signing into some Apple services renews the tokens silently for other Apple services, but not all.

That's why every user's experience will be different, but every user will eventually have their devices 'bricked' (Activation Lock) by Apple if they always refuse to sign into Apple services as some tokens will eventually
expire that cannot be renewed without entering your passwd.

The same goes with Microsoft Windows 11.

With all due respect, everybody "thinks" that, but Windows 11 does not
require any MSA account if you follow the well-publicized known tricks.

Ask me how I know this fact that most people don't seem to understand...

You're close... but it's only my secondary goal...

What's interesting is that when I first entered the Apple mobile device
world, it was with Costco iPods on sale, where I was astounded how
difficult Apple made something as simple as sliding MP3 files back & forth.

Then I bought an iPhone for my teen-age child where I was dismayed that
AT&T was the only carrier so I had to jailbreak it to work with T-Mobile.

Finally, I started buying iPads and iPhones as stocking stuffers, where
when I set them up, I was dumbfounded by the unnecessary use restrictions.

In all these cases, I am merely trying to get the Apple device to work the
way all other similar devices work & not only the way Apple wants it to be.

    That's my #1 priority.
Getting any Apple device to do what I want it to do.

To make an Apple device do what it should do is a lesson in humility, perseverance & intellectual understanding that cannot be underestimated.

My #2 priority is privacy. :)

But that's basically impossible on any mobile device, least of all Apple's.
