I never really got into the "Alone in the Dark" games.

It certainly was better received than previous entries. "Alone in the
Dark: Illumination" was a half-assed co-op shooter that completely
missed the point of the franchise, and the 2008 game --while it had
some innovative tech and ideas-- was a chore to play through. (The
    2001 game wasn't terrible, but it was /at best/ a very average
experience). And, like I said, the original trilogy was a very mixed
    bag.

So the 2025 game doesn't have a very high bar to clear. ;-)

It's one of those games I've added to my library and intend to play...
    one of these days.

    Thanks!

When I loaded up gog it said I'd claimed the games though.

I was having problems claiming it this early morning PST on its web
site, but it worked hours later.

GOG's backend has always been problematic. They offer these freebies,
people rush to claim them, and their servers just can't keep up. In
fairness, the claims usually are honored... but it sometimes can take
anywhere from an hour to several days before the games show up in your
    library.

I love the company... but it sometimes feels like they could hire
    better people. ;-)

Problems like that are fixed by hiring more people. They are fixed by installing more servers. And servers cost money, which they recently
don't have as much of anymore.

Sorry, that should have been "Problems like that are not fixed by hiring
    more people."
