Oooh! You still have the box! Gotta love a nice box!
Heh, I kept it since I rarely used the joystick and a good place to
store it. Heh, I have discs on top of this box. ;P
Are the discs in a box too?
I have a cat-like fascination with boxes. ;-)

Nah. I did find my old microphone in it with the joystick that I forgot about! I barely used it too since I can't talk well.

Just so long as you can type. ;-)
I think the only discrete microphone I still have is an old 'stick microphone' that came with an ancient Compaq (something like this: https://preview.redd.it/g8q06sfbsxi61.jpg?width=640&crop=smart&auto=webp&s=2cacf9322f870a45f52fc7651e57c84d5b0cb42e

No, but I was raised by them. ;-)

Why would they say ow? Is there an owl there like Duo? ;)

That's the one I had!!!!! I couldn't find a photo of it. How did you
manage to find it? I had a hard time searching for it. :(

I just searched for "stick microphone Compaq" and then scrolled the
images page until I found the one that resembled mine. ;-)
They weren't only limited to Compaq computers, those microphones. I
think Gateway and HP also shipped some home computers using similar
devices. It was the late 90s, and computers were 'multimedia' now, dontchaknow! They /had/ to have a microphone... so I guess the idea
was 'let's ship the cheapest crap we can find' ;-)
(not much different from OEMs today)
Hmm, I did have a Compaq Armada 1585DMT laptop! Maybe that is where it
came from, but I don't remember! I thought it came with one of my Sound >Blaster cards like SB16 that came with a 2X CD-ROM drive, CD-ROMs, etc.
from December 1993.

Oh well. WHo knows where it came from. Maybe with my SB package or
Compaq 1585DMT notebook.
Or somewhere else entirely. Those cheap microphones were ubiquitous
during the mid to late 90s. It seemed everyone had one... and nobody
used them. E-waste start to finish.

Have you ever walked into a bar? They're made of metal and don't bend!
Of course they say ow! It hurts!
Although... a bar that can equally trip up a dinosaur, a cat /and/ an
ant? That's not a bar; that's a freaking wall! ;-)

It was a low bar.

I have or had one like that. If I still have it, it's not in use.

Yes. I don't remember exactly what, but may have used it for some skype >and/or aim calls, and maybe ran some of my first online TTRPGS with it
on Roll20 (D&D or Mutant Future.) I don't remember ever using it for a >computer game though.
