In my opinion one of the best news servers I've used at a very
reasonable price. They even have the decency to keep it running for 2
more years.

I got the same notification a few weeks ago. Pity to lose it, but
there is a free alternative - details at

I wonder if it'll still be running in 2 years time.

I run a news server but you'd have to sign up to my bulletin board to
get an account, for now, until I can figure out web registration type
stuff. I don't carry binaries but I have something like 12 million
articles and don't expire.

You can telnet to endofthelinebbs.com to setup an account then drop me
a message and I'll turn on usenet for you. Best to use a client like
SyncTERM.
