Underlinux mint 22.3 MATE and a NAS Synology DS216
I created a shared folder with files , excel, word, png, and txt.
All these files are visible and accessible in my network (under linux)
but : impossible to access it live either via wine-> Excel or Openoffice
I have to copy them first to the hot computer to work on it and then
copy it!
the images (*.jpg) go without problem
the images (*.png) mint does not know how to open them and if we impose "image viewer" on him he opens it but does not memorize it!!
I tried a lot of options that all end up with "impossible mount"!
the NAS is visible on the network and responds to the PING
Thank you for directing my research....no answer on the forum synology

folders, then you throw Wine into the mix...
I would go step by step and see if linux can access your openoffice files. Creating a SMB share and config /etc/fstab should give you full access
I think.
