  • Nemo file sort

    Nemo 'list view' shows various types of files only as 'document' in the
    'type' column. Is there a way to make it list files by their true type?
    ie. doc, text, pdf, etc., I know other file managers will do it, but it
    would be convenient if Nemo could also do it, as it's the default file manager. Thanks,

    Right click on columns name in Nemo and switch on Detailed type.
    "

    Maybe an extra column is all you need.

    No doubt this will make things run slower.

    Would it even have to sniff the actual file contents to determine the
    type (slower still)? Or would it simply trust the filename extension?
