One can only hope. Maybe they heard the footsteps of people leaving. Of course when
100 people leave windows, leaving 1M+, (or whatever) there isn't a big issue is there.

More likely the feedback of Enterprise, Edu, Gov, and Server seats where
the majority are volume license and a very high percentage with
contracted direct support. This same population is the larger revenue and profit source across Microsoft products(Windows, Office, Server, AI,
    Azure, stand-alone units/terminals etc.)
    - i.e. not the consumer side.
e.g. recently(last 3 months) some of the recent Windows 11 known issues impacted one of my contacts(high level admin[person in charge of multiple admins across +200 hospitals]) with over 100,000 installed seats/devices)
That's a lot of pain management on both sides, much more then hearing footsteps.

Exactly. It's the feedback of Enterprise, Edu, Gov, and Server that matters.

That's the impetus for these latest (seemingly disconnected) articles.
It is the corporate feedback we can't see, that did this.

When an event happened at work, which caused a half-day of lost productivity, that was a "heads will roll" kind of event. Someone spent a million bucks
    to fix that.

There are lots of things that happen in a business, where the CEO has to
put down his golf clubs and drive back to work :-) The important bits,
    you might never hear about.
