• God Mode

    I created a folder with the string that identifies God
    mode, but it's empty. I've done this frequently before on
    previous versions and it worked. What gives?

    How to Enable God Mode in Windows 11 or 10

    1. Right click on the desktop and select New->Folder.

    2. Name the folder as follows:

    GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

    For "God Mode" I create a shortcut (.lnk file) with this in the
    'Target' field.

    %WINDIR%\explorer.exe shell:::{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

    It works for me on Windows 11, similar to how it does on Windows 10.

    FWIW the "Administrative Tools" section near the top in Windows 10
    has become the "Windows Tools" section near the bottom in Windows 11.

    Who needs AI ? There is a Wiki entry.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Master_Control_Panel_shortcut

    "Windows 10In Windows 10 1703 (April 2017), Microsoft broke the
    display of a "God Mode" folder in File Explorer.[15]

    The problem remains in the subsequent versions.

    A workaround[16] was proposed, but it does not always work.

    I create it the exact same method.

    I create the shortcut in:
    %UserProfile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs
    folder, Pin it to the Start Menu(if not already present) then drag it to
    my created StartMenu group(named System)

    - This way its aligned/located with other system tools(in that group),
    not stuck on the desktop or some other location.

    Old article, especially with respect to creation and pinning.
    See my reply to Ralph for a method to create a shortcut(instead of
    starting by creating a GodMode folder) and pin-able and group-able to the StartMenu and also, if desired, pin-able to the Taskbar
