??Video cards have dramatically increased in price in Russia

In just two weeks, the cost of video cards has jumped by 30%. The popular RTX 5060 Ti (16Gb) model, which could be found for 45-55 thousand rubles a month ago, now costs 60-70 thousand.

The reason for the sharp increase was a logistical collapse caused by the large-scale war in the Middle East.

I don't think video cards are cheap anywhere else.

Stories like this are more important when they involve food.
I can survive quite nicely, without an RTC 5060 TI under my Christmas Tree.
    For that is Discretionary Spending.

Now recently, the local news had an article about cucumbers in Russia.
Here is an example from a random web site.

    https://www.hortidaily.com/article/9812380/cucumbers-in-russia-surge-111-in-three-months/

"Cucumbers in Russia surge 111% in three months

Cucumber prices in Russia have risen by 111% over the past three months.
While January?February price increases are typical,
the scale has drawn public attention.

In several cities, retail prices have climbed to 500?1,000 rubles per kilogram
(?5.50-?11.0), prompting comparisons with meat. According to Rosstat, on 2 February,
    pork cost 396.93 rubles/kg (?4.4) and beef 700.5 rubles/kg (?7.7).
    "

"With longer daylight hours, greenhouse costs are expected to ease. March harvest [amounts]
could rise at least 1.5 times month-on-month, and April volumes are two to 2.5 times higher,
which may [cause downward price pressure]"
