  • difference between mrc and irc

    hi, i was wondering what the difference between multi-relay chat and irc is? they seem about the same

    iirc MRC sends all the private messages to absolutely everyone and the client decides to show them or not. so a custom client could just watch everything everyone says.

    FWIW, the gettogethers on MRC are a lot of fun - we've done movie
    viewings, sat around, chatted with 20+ people and caught up with other
    BBSers.

    The tech may be sus, but the application is rewarding.

    oh cool!! how do you join a meetup?

    Just jump onto MRC at the appointed time. The busiest one is 6-7p, PDT on Fridays.
