    Happy March 1st, everybody!

    March 1st is celebrated in Bulgaria as Baba Marta Day, marking the arrival of spring. On this day, people exchange and wear martenitsi, which are red and white woven threads symbolizing health and happiness, as a way to welcome the new season.

    Happy Baba Marta Day to you also. Here in Kentucky, we are celebrating it
    with a mix of snow, freezing rain, sleet, and plain-ole rain. ;) After
    today, the rest of the week should be more spring-like.
