Taliesin's poem The Hostile Confederacy contains the following lines:
"Seven score muses
There are in the inspiration of song;
Eight score in every score
In the great abyss of tranquility
In the great abyss of wrath..."
The seven score in lunar months is 11 years and four lunar months,
so basically an 11-year solar sunspot cycle. The eight score, or
more precisely 162 days, is 5.5 lunar months or six Carrington
solar rotations. The great abyss of tranquility is depression
and the great abyss of wrath is a mixed/psychotic/dysphoric trial.
I first noted the above in the spring of 1994 though I didn't post
about it much until the end of 1996/beginning of 1997.
