• Chwalinska's last chance to win a slam

She better make the most of it. She'll have a target on her back and
everyone will work her out soon. One thing in her favor is her opponent
is also a newbie in slam finals. If Andreeva already had a slam she'd
crush her. Logically I think Andreeva should win this, but there is a
bit of an x factor with Chwalinka's style. She's not a traditional moonballer, her balls are often cleaning lines and placed exceptionally
well in awkward positions for opponent. She has amazing anticipation
too. Still if Andreeva makes full use of her power she should prevail.
I'll blame Conchita if she loses. She should be able to come up with a
    game plan for the win.

I've noticed about Andreeva, especially this year, that she very
intelligently throws in defensive moon balls to either get solidly re-centered, or to simply break a rhythm her opponent has established.

Given that she, herself, uses off-speed strokes, I'd expect that she'll
    handle off-speed herself fairly well.

For a bit I was seeing Andreeva as a kind of over-hyped blonde blued
media favorite--which she is, to a degree. But all along I've seen that
she has very good resolve and I've worked up some level of respect this
    year.

Haven't seen any of Chwalinka's games, but based on that awkward
collection of initial consonants, she doesn't deserve to win a major in
a nation with a Romance language.

Yeah she's got variety and power, just comes down to game plan and
    mentality.

She won 2 Masters in a row last yr beating the best players Sabalenka,
Iga etc - can't do that without real talent. I think she can back up
    and win Wimbledon too.

I have Polish friends with only 1 vowel in surname
