    This has occurred at least once in the past with eternal-september- it
    losing ability to post for a few hours right before Roland Garros. Hence
    the multiple posts by your and I, and I in the past. I remember
    panicking to get my picks in...

    This brings to mind a recent observation. Maybe you've seen it, too.

    The meaning of hypocrisy, as it was understood by previous US
    generations, has been lost.

    Formerly, it was possible for individuals to be hypocritical, but even
    as they acted or spoke hypocritically, they knew, deeply, that they were practicing an injury to interpersonal honesty and the sense of integrity
    and fair play.

    They sinned, but they knowingly sinned.

    Now, hypocrisy is simply a tool to help get what one wants, and it is
    expected as a part of common interactions. You see it in social media exchanges more often than not.

    It most certainly is not a sin or personal shortcoming.

    It looks to me that this is the way of it, folks. So the game is now
    played with significantly different rules than in previous times.
