    About star trek uniforms?

After a recent rewatch, I?ve come to appreciate how the TOS uniforms capture an earnest 1970s idea of Starfleet. The uniforms are almost like loungewear.

They look comfortable and suggest a slightly sexy, loose vibe that was pretty much eliminated from the franchise by WoK and the Reagan 80s.

It?s interesting how movies bear the subconscious marks of culture from their time even when attempting to imagine a future society.

If I recall there was this British series, Moon Zero Two, and the
occupants of this base were damned close to constant decadent pastimes.

    So true.

Additional problem is one that's quite funny, as the technology advances, past futurism always looks obsolete and unrealistic, so it's destined to remain a fantasy. The technology part is hardly evergreen in sci-fi.

Any examples of past futurism holding up?

Boy, nothing turned out like predicted in 2001, or Blade Runner.
