I've assembled 12 questions for an occasional quiz again. I expect
this one to be a bit easier than the previous one, but I've been
wrong before.
The rules are the usual: Post the answers to the newsgroup and use
only your own knowledge. No sources, no AI, and do absolutely not
ask the cat!
In case of a tie, I will make a subjective judgement of the
incorrect answers. (Where a really bad answer may be worse
than no answer at all. :-)
I plan to score this and post the answers on Tue 1st.
Have fun!

This quiz is over, and the main scoreboard is a three-way tie!...

... (Welcome James, by the way!)
3. In "The Grifters" he ended up dead in a bathtub. In "Con Air" he
was a US Marshal and in "Runaway Jury" he manipulated a jury
from the inside. Who is this actor?
John Cusack.
Our score (James and John) should be at best "5 with an asterisk."
(Unless playing as a duo complies with the rules.)
James got 3, John 2.
Cusack's character definitely dies at the end of The Grifters, but in
a bathtub? Pretty sure he just bleeds out on the floor. So I assumed
this was a different character I forgot about, given that I haven't
seen the movie since 1990.

I will have to admit that I haven't really understood this about
James and John. I thought you were one person going by two names.
To be strict, it's against the general rules in r.g.t having two
persons on the same entry, since you are not supposed to get help
from anyone else.
Can't John have his own user?
I (James) score last place in almost all these trivia contests. There
are some topics n which I MIGHT do well, but these are not the topics I
see here. It's GOOD to have difficult questions, but not fun for ME
when every other contestant finds the questions less difficult than I
do.
(I'm considering preparing another (difficult?) contest, basically
"Identify which historical event associates with this excerpt from a historical document." Comments?)
John is my young son, who has never left Thailand, but has some 3rd-hand familiarity with present-day culture. As I looked at your
contest I saw 2 or 3 questions hopeless for me, but which I thought he
might know; so I asked him to spend a minute looking over my shoulder.
