0.7% decrease in sales doesn't sound all THAT catastrophic to me, but
    what do I know.

    Plenty:

Personally, I think they need to visit the In-N-Out concept of a much
simpler menu. Secret menu aside, a hamburger, a cheeseburger, a double burger, fries, soft drink, shake.

+1 for In & Out always!

This is a franchise that (like Wal Mart) stumbles and then quickly
    recovers.

Maybe some way some day they disappear, but I'd never bet against them,

I mean they can MBA a good quarter or even a good year by shuffling around shit for their shareholders, shrinking the burgers, or even getting disabled people to work there so they can pay them less than minimum wage.
It's just gonna hurt their brand more. Since before covid I barely ate mcdonalds and every year or so, get the urge to have a McBurger and every single fucking time my thought would be: This is why you haven't eaten here in a year and a half.
Smaller burgers, the chicken nuggets are shriveled jokes.... the time that made me commit to never going back was two years ago; I ordered a cheeseburger and I got a HALF SLICE OF CHEESE!!
A fucking HALF SLICE. See I don't expect excellence from minimum wage workers, I feel bad for them and stay out of their way, forgive their small mistakes, and am contented to get what I pay for. Be it a fish sandwich instead of a quarter pounder or missing fries, or even cold food.
    I get it bud.

But a HALF FUCKING PIECE OF CHEESE that means the poor sap making burgers for couch-cushion wages, saw that stack of sliced cheese, the half piece on the top, and instead of throwing it away, giving me 1.5 pieces of chesse, or even eating it and giving me the next one .... they decided that not sending that inventory out to a customer would be unfair to the good shareholders of mcdonalds and whatever PoS small business swine is cashing in on his work.

There's no point in mcdonalds anymore. Not even if you can appreciate the corpo-weird-science food they make with their scientifically balanced taste profiles and whatever else happens.
The price is another thing. They are TOTALLY VERTICSALLY INTEGRATED they should be able to beat out nearly every other fast food place but I can go get a fucking salmon burrito at a neighborhood place for the same price as their more premium sandwiches?

are all shrunk and deflated. The presentation is so bad I can't say
for sure if they taste different.

It's been so long since I had a McNugget, I wouldn't know if the
    taste changed or not.

The burgers are NOT consistent, get thats a big fast food thing but >they're not what I remembered and grew up with, they're changing
    things around every year.

How so? Only so much can be changed in regards to hamburger.

Finally they can maintain consistency with their inputs but the way
they treat employees I can't be assured to get a full piece of cheese
on a cheeseburger. That's not consistency.

You may want to visit a different franchise.

The only consistency is disappointment and I probably won't go to any mcdonalds ever again unless there's an emergency.

McDonald's is on the way out. Unless the PTB make some serious changes. But they won't care enough to even make a symbolic effort.

Not disputing the red flags, but...they had a down quarter (-.7%) back
    in 2025.

Many adults don't go to McDonald's because they like the food. A lot of them go
because it's the only place where they can go, order food, and shove it in front
of their kids and they'll eat it without whining or complaining. Getting kids to
eat their food without fuss is a big motivator. The very idea of going to that place gives me a pain deep down in my guts. OTOH, we go there a lot to feed the
grands. All things considered, it's a no-brainer. We've pretty much given up on a
    practical alternative. There are none.

I mean they can MBA a good quarter or even a good year by
shuffling around shit for their shareholders, shrinking the
burgers, or even getting disabled people to work there so they
can pay them less than minimum wage. It's just gonna hurt their
brand more. Since before covid I barely ate mcdonalds and every
year or so, get the urge to have a McBurger and every single
fucking time my thought would be: This is why you haven't eaten
here in a year and a half. Smaller burgers, the chicken nuggets
are shriveled jokes.... the time that made me commit to never
going back was two years ago; I ordered a cheeseburger and I
got a HALF SLICE OF CHEESE!! A fucking HALF SLICE. See I don't
expect excellence from minimum wage workers, I feel bad for
them and stay out of their way, forgive their small mistakes,
and am contented to get what I pay for. Be it a fish sandwich
instead of a quarter pounder or missing fries, or even cold
    food. I get it bud.

But a HALF FUCKING PIECE OF CHEESE that means the poor sap
making burgers for couch-cushion wages, saw that stack of
sliced cheese, the half piece on the top, and instead of
throwing it away, giving me 1.5 pieces of chesse, or even
eating it and giving me the next one .... they decided that not
sending that inventory out to a customer would be unfair to the
good shareholders of mcdonalds and whatever PoS small business
swine is cashing in on his work.

There's no point in mcdonalds anymore. Not even if you can
appreciate the corpo-weird-science food they make with their scientifically balanced taste profiles and whatever else
happens. The price is another thing. They are TOTALLY
VERTICSALLY INTEGRATED they should be able to beat out nearly
every other fast food place but I can go get a fucking salmon
burrito at a neighborhood place for the same price as their
    more premium sandwiches? GTFO BOOOO!

Yes, the 1/2 cheese slice is on the fish sammich, but I don't
think the burgers have been robbed yet?

The chicken nuggets are consistently decent, better than Wendy's
    or BK's by far.

But Chick-Fil-A makes the best nuggies.

Point is, they have critical mass, market share, and most of all CONSISTENCY.

Love it or hate it - the product is identical from coast to coast.

The nuggets were always kinda trashy but hit the spot. The new ones
are all shrunk and deflated. The presentation is so bad I can't say
for sure if they taste different.

I have seen ZERO difference in them through their product cycle.

You may have a bad franchise or you may be lying.

    Maybe both in fact.

    The burgers are NOT consistent,

    Again, you are lying.

get thats a big fast food thing but they're not what I remembered
and grew up with, they're changing things around every year.

    No, they are NOT!

    Stop the bullshit.

    Finally they
can maintain consistency with their inputs but the way they treat
employees I can't be assured to get a full piece of cheese on a cheeseburger. That's not consistency.

So you base this absolutist rant off of one bad franchise that you
still choose to frequent..and bitch about...again and again...

    Nuff said.

Lol do you own a mcdonalds or something?
The absurdity of telling me things will be more consistentl if I go to
    a different franchise!
The burgers get smaller all the time. It's the the point where it's
silly, the only thing i consistently see are tired employees who dgaf.

Every mcdonalds I've been to for years was a diasppointment and I have
low standards because I never minded going to the 3rd ave mcdonalds on
the 'Seattle Blade' they had blue lights in the bathroom to keep people
from shooting up and at one point they had generic folding tables set
    up, there's a bouncer.

The place was a zoo but I never went there and looked at my sandwich
    and considered not finishing it.

Post covid, mcdonalds is a waste of time and I'm not sure why you act
like it was a big loss, they made kids fat and have a fake ass charity
and there was always better food at the same price point but now it's
    just absurd.

It's inertia buddy and it's weird you'd defend them. All the stock
talk in here just has me thinking you're just the wish.com version of
dudes who talk about Tesla on reddit.
