What's your plans for this evenings' meal? Something light but filling or
a full-blown meal with lots of side dishes?

I spied a package of individual plump, bun length kielbasa at the grocery
store on Friday. Maybe they've always been available and I've just not
paid attention as I normally buy a rope of this sausage. The rope is
great when I'm going to make full dish of something like potatoes and
onions, but this will be eaten on a steak bun with mustard and pickle
    relish. All pork, too!

While pawing through the bun length different sausages I saw a package of
bun length andouille sausage, also. I've only seen that in a rope for a
full dish of jambalaya or a potato dish; that's a purchase for another
    few weeks down the line.

Amazing what can be found at the grocery store when time is taken to
actually look at what's offered. ÿ?ÿÿ

Definitely something simple. Full-blown meals are for when I have
    guests.

Ever check out the clearance shelves at the back? There's usually
a lot of weird stuff, but often one or two things I don't mind
    trying.

My digestive system is still not back to normal but, no excuses here.

I'm thinking something elegant like crackers and cheese and a robust red
wine. I have a nice sharp cheddar.

I always check out the clearance shelves. Sometimes some great bargains
can be found and other times what's left just needs to be donated.

Cheese and crackers are great as is peanut butter, but I'd opt for milk.
Not sure how peanut butter and wine would go down. ?

I loooove cheddar and have developed a great fondness for Havarti, too.

A mature Cheddar is my "go-to" cheese but occasionally I will
splurge on a mature Compte cheese from France. I also like the
    Basque sheep's milk cheeses.

We just got home and got started on preparing dinner. We are having a
stuffed pork tenderloin. My duty was limited to butterflying the
tenderloin and pounding it out. My wife likes to do the stuffing so she
is welcome to do the rest.

Peanut butter and crackers worked for my father in law. He always had a
hearty breakfast and usually went out for lunch. Then he would come home
for a nap. After he got up from the nap he would have a double martini
    and crackers with peanut butter.

Lunch was vegetable soup and some Syrian string cheese flavored with
    nigella seeds.

    Dinner will be the usual.

YUMMMMMM. These kielbasa 'dogs' have beaten out Nathan's hotdogs! The
pickle relish was just the right touch, too. Pickle relish was a heaping
spoon of relish and a good squirt of spicy brown mustard into a small bowl. Stirred and then smeared on the sausage.

Into the toaster oven with the rack set close to the broiler element for
seven minutes. Turned to brown on the other side, but wanted to roll
around; toothpicks inserted into two secured them. Perfect amount of
    browning on all sides.

I've not had a glass of milk since a teenager. Just never liked it, in
spite of liking so many milk products. I don't have lunch, but I often
have an afternoon snack with a couple of crackers and PBJ. My choice of beverage though, is a cup of tea.

A cup of hot tea is very satisfying with peanut butter and crackers as is a good cup of coffee. There's something about the crunchy crackers, soft and gooey peanut butter and a hot beverage that just hits the spot.

When I was a kid we had a couple favourite after school treats. One was Saltine crackers with butter and (home made) strawberry jam. The other
was Graham Wafers with butter and honey.
