THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA 2 on Disney+: This movie was very underwhelming. It started out with a bunch of references to the first film and then dove
right back in to all the old characters being back together and not really having spent any time together over the previous 20 years. There was some underlying plot about the need for real journalism rather than just click
bait, but it didn't even put forth a strong argument given that the "journalism" here all centered around the fashion industry. This cast
deserved a better script.

NOTES FROM THE LAST ROW: A limited murder mystery series (6 episodes) on Netflix. It wasn't until the end of the second episode that this show
really got going, but then it was quite entertaining. It is "meta" in that
it centers around characters writing a novel and talking about how to write
a novel and then pulling some of the same gimmicks of "to be continued"
style writing to build viewer anticipation. This is a good series worth watching, though I didn't much care for the end game.

MILE END KICKS: A 2025 film on Netflix about a writer who moves to
Montreal for the summer so that she can write a book about Alanis
Morrissette. This was a very middling movie as it gave too little screen
time to minor characters that were more interesting than the main character
and never made any attempt to care about any of the characters beyond the slacker lead female. In the end, I was mostly left wondering if this woman could ever write anything decent in the first place.

THE TRUTHERS: A 2026 Netflix film from Spain that delves into the dangers
of feeble internet minds that fall down rabbit holes. The premise is scary enough and worthy of discussion, but this story fell well short of recommendation.

SEE YOU AT WORK TOMORROW!: I finished up the Korean mini-series on AmazonPrimeVideo. The writer was basically promoting the idea that people should be able to find love in the workplace, but also showing the
cautionary tales of how back biting co-workers will make it difficult.
Some of the plotlines just didn't make sense. For example, the main male
was being accused of dating his ex-wife (who was his co-worker). They
worked in different departments, but for some reason, the shame of this relationship would destroy them both...so our lead female stepped up to say that she was the one sleeping with him in order to save him. The thing is, they were also co-workers and he was her supervisor. I have no idea how
this actually bad relationship situation was supposed to save his
reputation. In the end, this was ok as a rom-com, but failed as workplace drama.

BREAKING BEAR: I watched the first episode of this TUBI animated series
about bears who sell drugs. It wasn't very good at all. One and done for
me.

FURIOUS: The first episode of this Hulu series about a female FBI agent
(EMMY ROSSUM) who is on the hunt for a female serial killer. This sort of
felt like a Lifetime Original series bent on scaring men away from women altogether.

BILL MAHR THE MARK TWIAN PRIZE: I watched some of this to see the stand up comics, though Bill Maher isn't particularly funny and about half the time
his insights are off the mark. Whitney Cummings was funny, but Stephen A. Smith and Louis C.K. Were both just trying to promote themselves as being
like Bill Mahr. I gave up on this about half way through.

MRS HARRIS GOES TO PARIS: This Netflix film was basically like an old
person version of EMILY IN PARIS. This 2022 film starring Lesley Manville
was a decent watch, though everything worked out a bit too conveniently.

ORDINARY ANGELS: A 2024 film starring Hillary Swank not being sexy and
Alan Ritchson not being a tough guy. Add in a dying child and an evil God using all of his powers over nature to kill the dying child and you have
all the makings of a bad Hallmark movie.

72 HOURS: a 2026 Netflix film starring Kevin Hart as an aging male trying
to stay socially relevant by hanging out with a bunch of twenty somethings
at their bachelor party. Add in drugs, sex, mobsters, and cops and this
all just felt like a weak attempt to channel THE HANGOVER.

VIOLENT NIGHT: A 2022 film starring David Harbour as Santa Claus. Some
people are nice, some people are naughty. Santa is an angry drunk. An ok
film for what it was.

I watched the first two episodes of this (and am now waiting so I can
watch ep's #3 & #4 together), mainly for Rossum (though she's "dressing
down" here) though the Irish actress playing the killer is pretty cute too.

I usually don't watch (or like) (streaming or BritTV) shows like this,
but I will stick with it to see where it goes.

Mediocre movie but it had a fantastic score. A throwback to old school film music in tradition of 80s John Williams, with a full orchestra, not just some bland synth sounds, virtuosic action cues, and traditional Christmas carol themes woven into the action score.

I bought the soundtrack and it's one I go back to a lot.

Ah, yes, I remember the movie now. Hadn't given it any thought since I
watched it a few years ago.
