Subject: [NEWS] 2027 Disney+ release for Doctor Who spin-off "The War Between the Land and the Sea"

No The War Between on Disney+ Until 2027
    ----------------------------------------
Whoniverse spin-off The War Between the Land and the Sea won't be
    on Disney+ until next year

One of the chief drawbacks of the BBC/Disney co-production deal
that delivered 26 episodes of the Whoniverse between 2023 and 2025
was how slow the American streamer was to make decisions. Their
delay confirming they wouldn't be renewing the deal had a domino
effect on the calendar of finding a replacement. The ultimate
result of that was that a new Doctor Who production team won't be
in place until next Spring at the earliest. Another was the long,
long wait for viewers to see UNIT spin-off The War Between the
Land and the Sea. At their end, the BBC finally pushed ahead to
broadcast the five episode series last December. However,
international viewers are still waiting for its Disney+ debut.

And according to series star Russell Tovey, they'll have to wait a
bit longer. The actor, who plays a low level UNIT employee called
Barclay who accidentally becomes ambassador for the whole human
race, says The War Between won't drop on Disney+ until 2027.
Speaking to the Radio Times, he compared the situation to the old
days. The era when it could take months before the latest
Hollywood movie made it to European cinemas. Indeed, many slightly
older UK readers may well remember the days when it could take
anything from months to years to catch the latest episodes of
The X-Files or Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Unfortunately, there are no more details on when in 2027, the
latest Doctor Who spin-off will arrive. This means it could even be
a full two year gap between British and international broadcasts.
For the BBC, the series about the return of the Earth's aquatic
previous rulers, the was one of their biggest new dramas of 2025.
However, with the end of their co-production deal, it doesn't seem
to be a priority for Disney+.

Blogtor Who will update you, of course, when there's news of a
    specific release date.

Because it's a hopeful guess. Why would Disney+ wait 2 years after the
main show ended to show a series encouraging bestiality? Does Tovey
think the world's negative attitude towards bestiality will have changed

I'm guessing so that there might be some disassociation
    between Disney+Who and this series.

I'm guessing the Disney executives watched it and realised
it was a 75-90 minute story (at best) dragged out for five
episodes with tick-boxing filler, Bestiality and garbage.
