• 6,600 Non-Citizens Registered to Vote in New Jersey

From BTR1701@3:633/10 to All on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 18:24:00
Hundreds of them have actually voted. Democrat Governor claims "software glitch".

    Whoopsie!

    https://www.njspotlightnews.org/2026/07/thousands-of-non-citizens-registered-to-vote-in-nj-sherrill-says/

If we still had a functioning media, a reporter would have immediately asked the governor: "You've stated that the software glitch registered non-citizens to vote who checked NO on the citizenship question in their driver license applications. What about the non-citizens who checked YES?"

"I'll brave murderous narco-traffickers and rapists, mule myself hundreds of miles across some of the most hostile territory in the world, risk drowning in a river patrolled by armed men on each side, and commit a crime entering the country illegally, but I'm nevertheless deterred from making a checkmark on a form saying I'm a citizen in one of the 40 U.S. states that don't require documentary proof of citizenship to register because it warns about a perjury penalty that no one ever bothers to validate or enforce."

    Said no one ever.

This is exactly why blue states passed laws allowing illegals to get drivers licenses. When you get a license, you can easily register to vote. In many cases, it happens automatically. That license can then be used to vote if polling places require ID. California will even issue an illegal alien a
driver license without a name. It literally says "No Name Given" on their license:

    https://ibb.co/PzhvvwPL

Incredibly, Alaska registers everyone to vote and then asks the non-citizens
to fix it later. The State of Alaska's own web site has it in writing:

"Just because you received a Voter Identification Card does not mean you are a U.S. citizen. When you fill out your PFD, you are automatically registered to vote regardless of citizenship. If you are not a U.S. citizen, contact the Division of Elections so they can cancel your voter registration."

So register everyone and then rely on the honor system to sort out the non-citizens. What could go wrong? (Or right, if you're a 'progressive' Democrat.)

Every state which allows illegals to get licenses should have their DMV data audited immediately. I suspect the results will find hundreds of thousands of registered foreign nationals. When politicians at every level in states like California are openly advocating to allow illegals to vote in state and local elections, and we have a system that is purpose-built to facilitate fraud and resist voter eligibility and accountability, it's idiotic not to take measures to ensure that foreigners are not controlling our country via the ballot box.

If Republicans found out a computer glitch caused 6,600 non-citizens to
vote for Republican candidates we wouldn't hear a peep out of them.

The SAVE Act wouldn't have prevented the computer glitch regardless.

? Illegals can't vote even if they could still get across the border. I realize though immigration is the only issue Republicans have left
since every other policy they've supported in Trump 2.0 is a disaster.

Noncitizens have been barred from voting in federal elections since
1924. In addition, in 1996, Congress made noncitizen voting in federal elections a crime punishable by fines and imprisonment.

If you have proof to the contrary other than some very rare computer
glitch like New Jersey's that's going on nationwide and it has swayed elections unfairly post it here.

Otherwise you're just blowing sore loser Trump/MAGA smoke out your ass

    Whoopsie!

No, it's worse than that. New Joisy did something I consider unethical:
They automatically registered everyone to vote using the driver
s license database. First of all, no one should ever be automatically
enrolled into any government program. Making it easier to enroll is a
good thing. A driver's license database doesn't necessarily have
current primary addresses because most people provide their current
address only when forced to go in person to renew, even though they are required by law to provide it within a few days of moving. With voter registration, you provide your primary address when there is an election
coming up, so it's likely to be changed before the address in the
    drivers' database is changed.

Obviously, the database has no citizenship information but it does have information that uponfirst applying, the applicant showed a birth
    certificate. It's indirect.

Under federal Motor Voter law, states are required to use a database
that's combined of the driver's license database and the four most
significant digits of the Social Security Number. Well, the Social
Security Administration also examined birth certificates, or if during Enumeration At Birth, received the very same paperwork used to issue the
birth certificate. We have state-wide vital statistics registries in
states, so if a common format were used nationally, then birth
certificates would be universally available for processing voter
registrations, solving the problem. When a death certificate is issued,
the state notifies Social Security Administration, so why not also
notify thee county voter registrar oor update the Motor Voter database?

If the SAVE Act addresses none of these issues. If it were being useful,
then the Motor Voter database should be expaned to include or interface
with the state vital statistics database for birth certificate access.
No one born in America should ever have to prresent a birth crtificate
if the record is searchable. There can be exceptional circumstances in
    which it's necwssary.

We need a state registry of primary addresses. It should not be
maintained as a driver's license record only. Make it opt in. If you've
updated it already, then at the driver's services office, the driver
doesn't need further proof of his current address if the clerk can look
it up. Same thing for voter registration purposes, just look it up.
Iwouldn't want automatic updates of databases at other agencies as that
    might be disastrous.

Federal datbases cannot track citizenship directly except for
naturalization and those born abroad. It's all second hand information
for Americans born in America. This should be done at the state level
but with federal coordination for better database integration.

Doing it this way might actually achieve the federal goal of Motor Voter
of making it easier to register to vote but without the Act's mandatory
voter registration which I disapprove of.

    . . .

Every state which allows illegals to get licenses should have their
    DMV data audited immediately. . . .

I don't agree. Every driver resident should be eligible to apply for a
driver's license. Stop using it as a direct citizenship check unless the
record notes where the birth certificate was issued. Even then, checking
the vital statistics registrar of the state in which the birth
certificate was issued would be better.
