What did you watch?

Guess I am using this one, as there's no WDYW? for Tuesday yet.
Multi-day catch-up.
Over the weekend, I watched a couple of movies:
Predator: Badlands (Hulu) - This 2025 skiffy franchise flick was OK.
˙˙ I'm slightly shocked to say that Elle Fanning was actually the best thing about it (I vastly prefer older sister Dakota to Elle). Anyway,
this flick tries to expand both the "Predator" and the "Alien" universes (while occasionally giving of SW "prequel" vibes), and I don't think
it's very successful in doing so. But while the prodigal Predator was on
the planet with Fanning, running from/fighting monsters, I was generally entertained.
The Astronaut (Hulu) - An odd little 2025 sci-fi flick starring Katesnip
Mara (simultaneously looking her age, but still looking pretty good - I still remember when I first saw Mara on "Everwood" over 2 decades ago!!)
in the titular(heh) role.
˙˙ During Mara's decent from orbit, her reentry craft is compromised -
Has she picked up an alien parasite?!?! Everyone around her, including
her adoptive army general(?) father (it's Laurence Fishburn!!), seem
pretty blas‚ at the prospect,
Since the weekend, I have started going through some other backlogged streaming series. First up is:
Hijack (Apple TV) - I've gotten through the first 4 episodes of season
#2. So far, I don't think it's as good as season #1 (the premise is even harder to swallow than season #1's!). But they are doing a good job at ratcheting up the suspense while slowly drawing back on the mystery, so
it's keeping me engaged.
˙˙ And Toby Jones is in season #2 which is a plus. I also like the cute German actress (Lisa Vicari - how is this a German name?!!) playing
the... uh, U-Bahn operations... dispatcher(?).
I've also been watching soaps, but there isn't too much to report. GH is
the most interesting here - I like the twist with Nina secretly working
with her (unintended!) victim Jack Brennan; meanwhile, Michael continues
to be a psychopath in terms of Willow - he continues to make her look relatively good in comparison to him.

I think I liked it a lot more than you did.˙ The guy who made this is
the same guy who made Prey (2022) and Predator: Killer of Killers
(2025).˙ All three movies connect, but I think it's mostly blink and you miss it connections in "Badlands."˙ In a couple of years I'm looking
forward to doing a major marathon of all the Alien and Predator movies
in chronological order.

I think I vaguely remember seeing a commercial for this.˙ I'll add it to
my ever growing Hulu watch list for when I get Hulu again.

Speaking of streaming backlogs...˙ I recently watched "The Boroughs" on Netflix.˙ That was OK.˙ It was sort of a cross between "Cocoon" and "Stranger Things."˙ I'm still making my way through Spider-Noir on
Amazon Prime.
