    From what I hear, Anderson was negotiating with all 3 US TV networks
    to carry it, so that the deal would fund a second season.

    One of the networks changed their mind and pulled out. When the other
    two heard, they assumed that the first one knew something they didn?t,
    so they abandoned negotiations as well.

    A second season was made, but it was short with only 6 episode, while
    the first season had 26 episodes. There were also a couple of
    Thunderbirds movies (not counting the awful Jonathan Frakes garbage live-action version). There was also an animated show in Japan, which realistically had nothing to do with Anderson's original. More recently
    there was also the GCI animated show, which would have been okay if it
    hadn't tried to be connected to the original show.
