Hi Manga lovers,
I read this years ago
Bakuman volume 1 not sure of the date but I
have the volume here. published by Viz Media,
story by Tsugumi Ohba & Art by Takeshi Obata,
a Shonen Jump Manga.
This starts a bit like Comic Party with one
friend, a rather intellectual student convincing another
student to pursue a career in manga and dispensing
along the way lots of family and background information.
Friend wants to write for the artist which is where it
begins to diverge from the madcap Comic Party
I think this is a real winner but it seems to lack
real humor. I have bought it and will continue to
buy the translated volumes unless something
interferes.
