  • Oil price continues to rise

    The war in the Middle East just cannot seem to find an end in a solution acceptable to everyone. Both the US and Iran are desperate for a solution, but neither wants to admit that it must be over and done with.

    Meanwhile, Israel is doing whatever it pleases. A solution between the US, Iran, and Israel seems impossible to me, because Israel adheres to nothing and is not being held back by the current US either.

    Trump apparently has two masters, namely Putin and Netanyahu.

    So if Iran manages to hold out, the Strait of Hormuz will remain virtually closed. At the moment, about seven ships pass through per day. So that is not getting us anywhere.

    What we are also seeing now is increasing investment in oil and gas production outside the Middle East.

    The world MUST break free from its dependence on the Strait of Hormuz. The sooner the better.

    In any case, the oil price does not seem likely to go down structurally for the time being. You better take that into account.
