to Canada. Joining the USA wasn?t on the ballot
but if it was Newfoundland might have joined, especially
given strong connections between Newfoundland
ad New York and Boston, plus the presence of a
few American bases here which resulted in many
Newfoundland women marrying Americans. But
now with Trump in power I don?t think many Newfoundlanders
and Labradorians would support joining the USA,
especially if it was a hostile takeover. Most of us
these days are happy in Canada.
