A mini series not a movie. Where I first saw him. At the time, absolutely within the SF genre. Today, with hacking, power grids failing, oceanic cables being cut and satellites having problems, not so SF anymore

Depends on how you define "appearances" and "sci-fi", but the awful
"actor" also ruined the movies and TV shows:
- Bicentennial Man
- The Dish
- Invasion
- The Portable Door (more 'fantasy' than 'sci-fi')
- The Triangle
- Until the End of the World
- Memoirs of an Invisible Man
among others.
He is claimed to be a New Zealand "actor", but was actually born in
Ireland and spent a lot of tiem in Australia.
